History
1914
Founded in 1914 as TANAKAKOHSHOTEN, the company initially focused on trading printing equipment and chemicals used in all types of printing.
1953
The company was registered under the name TANAKA INK MANUFACTURING CO., LTD. and began building its first factory to produce inks and chemicals in Neyagawa City.
1957
Production commenced in 1957.
1963
The company changed its name to TANAKA INK KAGAKU KOGYO LTD. and started building its second factory nearby.
1967
Production began at the new facility in 1967.
1980
The company continued to grow successfully, and in 1980, increased its registered capital to ¥57,600,000.
1983
In 1983, a research and development laboratory was established at the company's headquarters to analyze and develop products.
1985
The registered capital was increased again to ¥80,000,000.
1988
A branch office was established in Omiya City, near Tokyo.
1991
The company continued to expand, opening a branch in Bangkok, Thailand, under the name TANAKA CHEMICAL (THAILAND) CO., LTD. In the following year, branches were established in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Los Angeles, USA.
1994
The company changed its name to TANAKA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES CO., LTD. and also opened a sales office in Taipei, Taiwan.
2000
A branch was established in Guangzhou, China.
2006
The company received ISO 9001 certification.
2007
Another branch was established in Dongguan, China.
2008
The company received SONY GREEN PARTNER certification to manage toxins in production.
2010
The company headquarters moved to a new location.
Present
Today, the company produces inks for all types of printing systems, except for newspaper printing, and manufactures various chemicals used in printing systems, such as coatings for different materials and adhesives.
